To complete a hand using both of the final two cards dealt.
EXAMPLE: "I stayed in with two overcards because I had good pot odds, and ended up backing into a flush."
APPLIES TO: Online and Land-based Venues
GAME CATEGORY: Stud Games
To win a hand on the showdown despite having terrible cards but all opponents have even worse cards, especially when the winning player expected to lose.
EXAMPLE: "I raised preflop with Ad-Qd but missed when the flop came up Ks-10c-5h. The hand checked around. The turn was the 3d, and it checked around. The river was the 7c, and it checked around again. I backed into it and won the pot with my Ace high. I'm surprise nobody tried to steal the pot on the river. I'd have folded if it hadn't checked all the way down."
