Rainbow

  1. Adjective

    Containing cards that are each of different suits.

    EXAMPLE: "I had A-2 suited. I quickly folded when the flop came up 9-4-Q rainbow and an opponent raised."

    APPLIES TO: Online and Land-based Venues

    USAGE: Describes a group of three of four cards.

  2. Adjective

    Containing no more than two cards of the same suit, such that it is not possible for any player to complete a flush.

    EXAMPLE: "I completed a straight on the river and my opponent raised. Since the board was a rainbow I reraised back. I knew my opponent didn?t have a flush so I figured my straight would hold up."
