Position Bet

  1. Noun

    Any wager that takes advantage of a player's position or information gained from a player's position, especially when the player would not have made a similar wager if acting earlier or later.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Example: A seat shot is a type of position bet.

    EXAMPLE: "I stole the pot with a position bet after all my opponents checked."
