Pocket Cards

  1. Noun

    Cards dealt to an individual player that may only be used by that player and which no other player is entitled to see; down cards; hole cards; as opposed to community cards.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Players receive two pocket cards in Texas Hold'em and four pocket cards in Omaha.

    EXAMPLE: "I didn't have very good pocket cards so I decided to fold."
